Photo, video, motion and 3D, produced in house

Brand and campaign work planned, shot, cut, graded and rendered without handing it out: stills, film, motion graphics, 3D and aerial, on a schedule that holds because the day is built to absorb a failure.

  • In houseplanned, shot, edited and graded end to end
  • One pipelinestills, film, motion and 3D from one brief and one set of assets
  • Licensedaerial work flown under a Transport Canada certificate

What this covers

The visual half of a brand, made rather than bought: campaign stills, film, motion graphics, 3D and aerial, built from one brief so the pieces still match when they land in different places.

Stills and film

Planning that settles the shot list before the day, lighting built for the room rather than the manual, and a schedule with slack in the places where things actually go wrong. Shot on Sony mirrorless bodies, gimbal where the camera has to move, and finished in a grade that holds across every frame in the set.

An edit suite at night: a colour-grading control surface in front of two monitors showing a soft video frame and waveform scopes.

Motion and 3D

Motion graphics and titling in After Effects, product and environment work in Blender, and colour finishing in DaVinci Resolve. Renders are built to be reused: the same model becomes a hero still, a loop for social and a cutaway in the film, rather than three separate jobs.

A shoot day is built so that one failure costs an hour rather than the project.

A rigged Sony mirrorless on a slider, seen from behind, shooting a cut crystal decanter lit on a black riser.
A 3D and motion workstation at night: a rendered robot arm in a viewport on the main monitor, a motion timeline on the second.

Aerial

Inspection, mapping and aerial content flown under a Transport Canada pilot certificate, with the flight planned around the site and the airspace rather than the forecast alone.

A gimbal, a folding drone and its controller, a wireless microphone kit, a field monitor, a camera body, lenses and batteries laid out on a dark surface.

What it takes

The craft is the visible part. What keeps a shoot on time is the discipline around it: knowing which failure would end the day, building the schedule so that failure costs an hour instead of the project, and carrying the second option in the bag.
